Dan Gavin has served as Vice President of National Real Estate since 2016. Gavin oversees the development, design, and construction of all new and remodeled US stores, along with the expansion and construction of all distribution centers across the country. He participates in multiple international committees, ensuring global uniformity from real estate and procurement initiatives.

Dan’s leadership over Systems and Sustainability, Facility Management, Analytics and Administration, and Warehouse Development teams contributes to cohesive real estate life cycles and aggressive growth.

A 37-year veteran of ALDI, Gavin joined ALDI in 1987 as a District Manager Trainee. He has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility, including Director of Operations in both the Greenwood and Valparaiso Indiana, Divisional Vice President of the Springfield, Ohio, division, where he led the growth of ALDI
from the southern half of Ohio to North and South Carolina, opening more than 70 stores.

Gavin earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics and business management from Cornell University, graduating in 1987.
